We all know how badly Gator fans everywhere want to beat Tennessee and shut up Lane Kiffin. Is this the most highly anticipated game ever to be played in the Swamp?
There certainly have been plenty of big games. Who can forget the UF-Vols matchup in 2001, postponed until December because of Sept. 11. The No. 2 Gators held their destiny in their hands. A win over Tennessee and in the SEC title game, and they play for the national championship. Instead, Tennessee came in and pulled the stunning 34-32 upset.
What about Steve Spurrier's return to the Swamp in 2005?
How about the 1997 game between undefeated FSU and UF? Or the 1995 game between No.3 UF and No. 6 FSU? Or the 1999 game between No. 4 UF and No. 2 Tennessee? Or the 2002 game between the No. 6 Gators and No. 1 Hurricanes — the first game in the matchup since 1987? Or the 1982 game between USC and UF?
